A30 from Maine to Texas

I saw this blog and I had to put up a post about it. These guys live in Texas and bought an Alberg 30 in Maine. They trailered the boat behind a RV! I haven't read the whole thing yet, but you should check it out if you have some time.

Mission Accomplished! LinGin Wins High Point

Last night Andréa and I had a really wonderful time at the Alberg 30 Annual Dinner in Solomons, MD. LinGin took honors for the following awards:

  • The Hammil Memorial Trophy for our distance race win (Solomons Island)
  • The Osius Memorial Trophy for best performance in the around-the-bouy races
  • The Jack Martin Memorial Trophy for winning High Point
At the beginning of 2006, we talked about this being our year. We've come a long way in our ability and through a lot of hard work (and great fun!) we had great results.

Everyone who raced with us should feel very proud. High Point takes a great deal of commitment in time and energy and it's a big deal to win it. I also want to sincerely thank all of our families for the many sacrifices they made for us over the years. We couldn't do it without you!!!

Keep your eye out for the annual LinGin off-season dinner party!

Here's to a great 2007 for all of you.
